Privacy policy

Your location

Your location is found on your phone and put inside the link you send. It never reaches our servers. It goes only to the person you send it to, through your own messaging app.

The part of the link that holds the location (after the #) is never sent to any server when the link opens. We cannot see it, and we store nothing.

Maps (Google)

Maps on SendGPS are shown by Google Maps. When a map loads, Google receives your internet address and the area shown on the map, under Google's privacy policy. We don't control what Google does with it.

What stays on your phone

Your business name and number, saved messages, the numbers you recently texted, received locations and your free-plan count are kept only on your phone. They are never sent to us. Clearing this site's data on your phone deletes them.

Hosting (Cloudflare)

Cloudflare delivers this website. Like any web host, it handles your internet address and the page you ask for, to deliver it and keep the site safe. If you use a short link like SendGPS.com/2145550100, that business number is part of the address Cloudflare sees. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Translation (optional, businesses only)

If you tap Translate, your message may be sent to MyMemory (Translated srl, Italy) to translate it, unless your phone can translate it on its own. Nothing is sent unless you tap Translate.

Paid plan (Stripe)

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your card. To turn on Unlimited, we keep your phone number, name and the date your plan runs until, in a private list. The public website only contains a short scrambled code made from your number, which can't be turned back into it.

We keep this while your plan is active, and afterward only as long as tax and accounting law requires. See Stripe's privacy policy.

Your rights (including GDPR)

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show, correct or delete the information we hold about you (for most people, that is nothing). Email hello@SendGPS.com. We answer within 30 days.

If you are in the EU, UK or Switzerland: we use subscriber data to provide the plan you bought (contract), and hosting data to run and protect the site (legitimate interest). You can also object, ask for a copy to take elsewhere, and complain to your local data protection authority. Our providers may process data in the United States, under safeguards such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

California

We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted ads. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and we will never treat you differently for using these rights. Email hello@SendGPS.com.

We don't track you across websites, so "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control signals change nothing: there is no tracking to turn off.

Children

SendGPS is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
